Cindy Wu is a Democrat who believes in civil rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights and immigrant rights.

She has served on the San Francisco Planning Commission since 2012, and was previously President and Vice-President. She has worked on affordable housing policy, information transparency, and protections for small and local businesses. She is also a deputy director at Chinatown Community Development Center.
